Who we Are
The Seattle Gaza Mutual Aid project supports Gazan families — both in Gaza and Cairo — to survive and rebuild their lives.
We are supporting survivors of the war directly and through the establishment and running of the Meera Centre, an educational & healing center for children and families.
We also work to raise awareness and gather support in our home communities, primarily in the United States, through arts, speaking engagements & dialogue.
The Meera Centre for Children & Families
Our multigenerational community center for Gazan refugees in Cairo is a place of learning, healing, and resilience.
Now serving 120 Palestinian refugee families from Gaza — nearly 500 people, including 100 orphans and 20 children who have lost both parents.
We provide activities for young children (pre-K through second grade) and their mothers, offering arts, crafts, psycho-social support, health and wellness activities in a safe, nurturing space.
In addition, we collect and distribute humanitarian supplies donated by international volunteers, ensuring families have access to essential resources and care.
Together, these efforts create a sanctuary of healing, hope and dignity for a community carrying profound loss.
